Trevor was an AMAZING server. He was very attentive to our needs. I wish servers everywhere were like him. The food was great. I had the shrimp & grits and croissants for my entree and wings and fries for the appetizers. My meal was delicious, packed with flavor, and just the right temperature when it arrived. The croissants have a similar flavor to those from Cheddars. The price was affordable. The atmosphere was excellent. It was not crowded. There was no wait time and we went for dinner. Hickory Tavern is definitely a hidden gem in Pinehurst.
Emily was super nice and helpful with the menu! Being it was our first time, we had questions and she was great. A manager also stopped by our table to make sure we were happy with everything. Great experience, service and food. The pow pow shrimp was our favorite.
We had a long afternoon shopping with toddlers and needed somewhere to eat dinner before heading home. We decided on hickory tavern and are so happy we did! I was nervous if it would be toddler friendly and it sure was! We weren’t stressing about our kids being “too loud” and the staff was absolutely wonderful with them! Shoutout to our waiter Shaq he really made our night. Shaq has a calm presence, very kind, super helpful, knowledgeable on the menu, and patient. Huge thank you for a great experience I’m sure we will be back!:)
I stopped by this place on the way to a concert and had a wonderful time. The bartender Star was very friendly and her service was excellent. She is definitely a "star bar-tender", pun intended. The burger I got looked small but will definitely fill you up. I recommend going to this restaurant.
Pinehurst hickory tavern so good tonight my Bbq chicken nachos was the best I have ever gotten there I even told them to tell who ever fixed them how good they was , and the burger my son got was cooked perfect as well as my husbands food !! The best service tonight who ever they have working in kitchen can cook !! Also my waiter Trever was so good kept my tea full and kept a great check on us the restaurant was clean and very neat. We was greeted when we got there and was checked on by managers why we ate Great Job hickory tavern !!
Wonderful experience at the Tavern. Our server (James) was excellent. Attentive yet not overbearing. The food was delicious. Best Reuben that I have had!
We had such great service…Shaquill went above and beyond. He was personable and happy. Was watching him at other tables and he was the same. He was upbeat and funny. The food was great also…I had the freedom burger and will definitely order it again. My partner had wings and they were done perfectly. All in all a great experience!
Our server James was right on with the refills and take away box! The garlic aioli dipping sauce that came with the shredded potato appetizer was delicious. Wood plank salmon seasoned with cilantro lime was great too.
As soon as we walked in I felt a peace and said I love this environment. Our pregame appetizer was bomb. I decided to order something different and I didn't like it Alex was on top of it. David came by and they switched out my sandwich less than 10 min with no issues. The service and atmosphere and their French fries and of course a glass of chardonnay made it all worth it. We will definitely come back!
